Oggi mi ritrovo una notizia in mail davvero interessante.
Rick Rubin, noto e storico produttore discografico è stato assunto dalla Columbia come co-presidente. L'articolo in questione però mi fa incazzare, e molto anche. Leggi qui.







La questione è, come tutte le altre questioni del mondo, semplicemente metal: va bene che ha lanciato i Beastie Boys nel 1986, va ancora meglio che ha collaborato con il mito e leggenda Johnny Cash... ma che ha scritto IL disco di musica più violenta e incazzata degli anni '80 (e forse '90 e forse anche di sempre), non ce lo vogliamo mettere? Reign In Blood degli Slayer l'ha prodotto lui, mica il fratello gemello (che non ha). Ma a nessuno ovviamente frega un cazzo. Perché di cose brutte sporche e cattive non ci curiamo, direte voialtri. Vi sento. E qui casca l'asino, cioè voi. Perché le cose migliori a cui Rubin ha lavorato sono metal. Ora, ammesso e non concesso che alla Columbia ci lavorino dei geni musicali e che un manager che guadagni cifre colossali potrà, o gli interesserà, essere a tempo pieno un espertone della musica, direi che un posto come co-presidente in una delle maggiori case discografiche del mondo non sia proprio una sciocchezzuola, quisquilie, pinzellacchere, da sottovalutare. E si è fatto scrivere anche, nel contratto, che lui in ufficio Non-Ci-Va, nè cazzi e nè madonne, lui l'ufficio non lo vuole neanche. A patto che bisogna anche vedere se all'ingresso lo fanno entrare, dato che pare uno straccione pezzente con le mosche nei capelli che per puzza e per miracolo si fa una doccia all'anno.

Intanto c'è il presidente Steve Barnett che sta cercando il modo di liberarsi di questo personaggio scomodo; pensa che gli rovini l'azienda o l'immagine imprenditoriale portata avanti da decenni di affari multimiliardari. Dalla sua esperienza si capisce, che la vita di un manager debba essere giaccacravatta e un bell'ufficio agli altipiani o in una villa del XVII secolo. Boh, può essere.

Comunque giusto per la vostra schifosissima cultura con le pezze al culo, per la quale non dovreste andare così fieri e bullarvi in giro, ecco un elenco di lavori prodotti da RR. Dateci un occhio, potreste trovarci il vostro disco preferito e scoprire che l'ha prodotto lui, o viceversa.
